Description
The SV-4 Orion, named after the Orion arm of the Milky Way, has been specifically designed for “siege warfare”.

Overall smaller than other capital ships like the Milky Way or the Andromeda, the Orion is equipped with a full-arc Dark Energy Emitter.

The Orion’s role is to open a breach through the defenses of heavy armored space stations or flagships.

The starship excels against slow moving targets (consider we are talking about space warfare so the meaning of the word slow is relative) and she earned a reputation as “blockade breacher”; punching through the lines of the blockading fleet.

The Orion’s Dark Energy Emitter can achieve a faster rate of rate due to its direct connection to the ship’s main energy grid but that leaves little energy to operate other ship-class weapons; except for the advanced point defense system.

For this very reason the Orion rarely operates alone and it is often escorted by other Custodian starships or vessels of the Alliance Navy.

However the Orion can deploy several “artillery drones” and electronic warfare “buoys” that surely allow the starship to defend herself, if need be.
