Description
The SV-6 Cygnus, named after the Milky Way constellation, is a corvette-type vessel which has been frequently deployed in anti-piracy missions through the entire Council Space.

The Cygnus does not possess the heavy weapons of the larger ships in the Custodian Fleet but the unparalleled speed, heavy armor for her class paired with a vast array of conventional weapons (like rapid fire railguns, torpedos and point defense system) make the Cygnus a remarkably effective patrol ship.

The Cygnus is also fitted with a small stealth generator allowing the vessel to move in systems where the presence of dangerous pirate clans and hostile entities would pose a significate threat.

While the Cygnus’ stealth generator is not comparable to the more advanced cloaking device found on the Special Reconnaissance Vessel ( ), it is sufficient to make the Cygnus nearly undetectable by all but the most advanced sensors that are on par with those installed on other ships of the Custodian Fleet.

The Cygnus is often deployed in the region of space known as the Fringe where, far from the centers of power and wealth of the galactic community, pirates and marauders seek out lucrative opportunities.

The Cygnus proved extremely effective at rooting out organized pirate operations in the area, leading to a series of commendations awarded to her crew for their success in the Council’s anti-piracy campaigns.

A recent refurbishment of the Cygnus made the ship able to act as an unarmed transport ship with additional stealth capabilities, making it one of the most flexible “utility ships” available to the Custodian Fleet.
