This was kind of a followup to my college mascot series I did a while back. There is a well known rivalry between the University of Oregon and Oregon State, as expressed by their mascots here.Duck mascot © University of Oregon

Hehe, why can't we all just get along?....Be a platapus! Half beaver, half duck! Of course, that's coming from a pureblooded duck. Though this sentiment always seems to come from the school currently on top - that "Don't hate us, we don't hate you" attitude...Still, the school coming out on the bottom always has nothing but absolute contempt for their counterpart XD.
Still, got nothing but love for these two fine ladies here.

I had just heard of the Platypus Trophy when I drew this. We have a rivalry trophy, the Fremont Cannon, down here that our teams fight over. The difference is, both schools in our state despise one another.

I will admit though...There's not a lot of love lost, especially on the Beavers' side...
