Fern is absolutely bubbling with the wildest ideas from top to bottom.Coming up with the most creative (and strangest) schemes with no more than a mere flick of the quil. His resourceful and innovative mind just never stops running ahead, far,faaarrrr faster than the rest of him can keep up. The very definition of look before you leap. This causes the ratio of his 'beneficial' to 'harzardous' to 'outright useless' experimental subjects to be rather....Questionable....At best. But hey! No pain no gain! As long as you don't get caught it's A-OK!

Having a mischievous streak, majority of his 'master plans' are easily translated to mere pranks that he enjoys playing on his fellow schoolmates. Mostly harmless, largely annoying. All for funsies of course! And like any other child his age,Fern absolutely LOVES to have fun! If you're here in the best of the best schools, why not enjoy the learning process? His intellect is easily reflected in his expansive vocabulary that far surpasses the norm of a child his age. Paired with perception and quick wits that aid him in absorbing any sort of newfound knowledge like a fluffy sponge. He is, however, unfortunately, equally fast in (mis)using such information. Be it in the form of snide remarks or yet another experiment catered to his ever so enigmatic 'scientific research', or some other merlin-knows-what abomination of an idea his brain can come up with. His flippant manner of approach paints a rather wildcard like image over himself.

Fern is, at his core, an arbitrary individual. Disregarding law and order in favour of his own little adventures. Appearing to act without any rhyme or reason. Amiable and malicious remarks alike are covered up with the same signature cackle. Coming hand in hand to hide a secret or two, making it a chore to pin down his true intentions.

Fern's strange fixation on both science and magic largely stems from his muggle roots. He has a rather unorthodox view of both worlds, thinking how science, technology and magic should be treated as extensions of each other, using them hand in hand to aid the advancement of both. He believes that there is much to benefit by combining the two, and is largely unaffected and unswayed by the more common opinions of the public. To him, the separation is utterly stupid. He prefers to judge by the individual and skill, rather than something as uncontrolled and nonsensical as the blood.
Though with all that said it's not like he minds the insults towards muggles per se, it's not like he asked for this, did he?
Everyone should just make the best of what they have.
