This is wonderful. The poster for the movie Microcosmos has a praying mantis' silhouette set against the Moon. Were you replicating that consciously, or did you just have the same idea?

maybe there is a chance I replicated subconsciously, I didn't think of that poster although I bumped in to it long ago when the movie playing (:
Two differences - Although simulating a moon, this is in fact a distant street lamp,

This is such a cool shot! I would have never thought to do this with a mantis. And it looks awesome. Keep thinking creatively or whatever it is that led you to such. ^^ As for the piece itself, I'm glad you pulled it a little off-center. It would have been a bit too dead on and not carried the weight it does now.
