36. Precious Treasure

Why, hello friends.

I drew this awhile ago (*is no longer as pleased with the drawing now*) and I knew I wanted to draw something related to Final Fantasy for "precious treasure". I kind of got Vaan from FFXII mixed up with Zidane from FFIX (the whole "pirate vs. thief" thing) and I ended up drawing Zidane and Garnet PASSIONATELY embracing, hahaha.

Garnet is his precious treasure, yo! He's a thief after her heart, yeah!

*ahem* But yeah... that was before I played FFIX.

And now I'm playing it... *is only on disc two though*

So now I'm not so crazy about this piece of fanart because it doesn't give enough justice to the characters or the game itself.

But I had to finish! I had to update! There was no going back once I blocked in the color so long ago...!

My coloring greatly evolved during this piece, I think. I started it back in March, and drew it in February. I took like a month long break at one point... and came back wanting to redo all the coloring, but I resisted.

And uhhh... I hate shoes. Drawing shoes, coloring shoes... just... SHOES! But I like Garnet's shoes. *pets* Yesss. *glares at Zidane*

I hope these two can find happiness!

P.S. I was going to do a legit background... I found a really awesome landscape picture I was going to use as inspiration and attempt to paint or speedpaint on PS... but then when it came time to work on the background, I knew that picture didn't quite work anymore with the world of Gaia... so... ;0;
Plus, I couldn't take it anymore. Too much work on one drawing.
