I was watching the X&Y episode "Seeking Shelter from the Storm" when I thought to do this. The little Espurr was creepy at first, but turned out to be so .

That probably explains the reason I still saw it as a little creepy- I haven't really watched the show in it's current seasons. I tried to get back into it way back when, during the Black and White series, but otherwise I haven't seen it since ^^*
My only experience with Espur is seeing the sprite in the video games, and the wide-eyed blank stare design always comes off as a little creepy.
