Stinging on, but the cords are brittle,
I string once more and they break by little,
My hands don't hurt but they are heinous,
Breaking the cords joined by us,
I throw away the guitar that played our own music,
I look back numb but with a heart that's sick,
I dive in now, in the pool of our love,
The pool we gathered drop by drop
But I dive too hard, only to hit the floor,
and break my head as those cords somewhere roar,
Now I try too hard to gather the drops,
Only to wet my hands with the liquid of our love,
And you spill some more liquid,
Shed another tear,
And I, thirsty, hungry,
All the while persevere,
Now I am in the forest,
in our very own forest,
Which you said boasts of our love-
wild, dense, but a test,
Hunger after the break axes down the berry, vine, herb,
like this I devour, all the trees, the shrub,
So now our forest is barren,
The forest of our love,
For I was too hungry,
And you did not assert..
Now that I have the energy, all the energy back,
The one given to me, by the wild-forest mishap,
I plan and start to climb,
The apex of our love,
The Everest we built up,
rock by stone by mud,
To dig up the sad cause,
Of our love show's pause,
I dig up this mountain,
rock by stone by mud,
And bring it down on a meek,
A timid figure like yours,
And find what but ashes,
Of the faith I once burnt...
It now lashes.
