Ahhh, submission before school! A had a bit of time the other night so I did a black & white portrait. This one is of James McAvoy (inspired from recently watching the movie Atonement).More info later (I hope xD)

I'm in love with him lol I love how you see all these pics and films with him where he's so serious, but you know from interviews that he's a raging prankster. I love that dichotomy that he pulls off so seamlessly.

I finished reading Atonement a while ago, it was a really good book. The ending depressed me a little though, with Briony growing so old and all. D:
Anyway, awesome work as always.

Ooh, you read the book? I heard it covers the story in much more detail than the movie, which makes sense. The book usually always does! xD
Now I wanna read it~ I wish Briony could've stayed her adolescent self though, minus the sneaky side she had.
Thank you! When I do these portraits, I have the photo ref and my drawing side by side to each other, but I don't trace. I make a quick sketch first, by looking over at the ref. It's much more of a challenge that way, and I guess I like it like that, even with there being noticeable mistakes when comparing the two.
