Description
This took quite some time to finish.I believe that sometimes life is as shards of glass hewn over the floor. It's a jumbled mess. We never truly understand what is going on and what fits together. However, in the end when we look back at it all a giant rose window forms. Things never truly make sense looking forward, but looking backwards at things we see their connection. How our greatest struggles and flaws shape us.
Done with watercolors and inks.
Quote that stuck with me while drawing this:

To your quote: hear, hear! Gandalf's is of course wise as well. I love how all the drawing is black and white but for the rose window. The detail is astonishing. This picture doesn't just have a thousand words to it, but an entire story. I'd ask what that story is, but I think, according to the two quotes, the story varies from person to person. Splendid job!

yeesss! That quote from the movie stuck with me, esp. since the song "Into the West" by Annie Lennox is based on the quote. Yup, it varies to each person. I read in a book before that things don't often make sense looking forward but looking backwards things fit together, and was inspired to draw this.
mhmm wanted the black and white around the Rose Window to represent looking backwards in time or the end of one's journey. While the Rose Window is like a tapestry depicting the whole story of one's journey.
