Kiume was born near the base of Kranse Mountians, to a lone lioness who had a one night stand. From birth Kiume was, well, different. Her hetero eyes were the first sign of oddity, along with a thicker crown off fluff on her head. Kiume's Mother would have preffered a son to keep her safe in her lonely days so she gave Kiume her name, meaning Male. It was her own way of getting something she wanted, naming her daughter something that mean't male. Kiume was well cared for by her lone Mother and was taught early to hunt since her Mother needed help. As she aged though, she longed for more companionship then just her Mother. However, her Mother had no desire to be with others, seeking out a rogue only when she need company.
Kiume just couldn't live a life like that, she saw no happiness in it in the long run. One night while her mother was asleep, she made off on her own in search of something new. She wandered alone for days, hungry and regretting her choices of leaving her Mother. Trying to stay strong she continued on untill she caught scent of a pride. She was crossing into a pride's territory at last! A smile crossed her features as she began to pick up the pace with newfound hope. Socially, she wasn't sure how to introduce herself into a pride and be accepted. Moving along one of the beaten patrol paths, she wandered till she found the pride of Mwanzo. A new home, and a fresh start.
