Description Here is my WIP of the bane wrist controller for Venom Deployment. Again, as i showed with my mock ups, the ben 10 legacy Ultimatrix / omnitrix thingie was ideal for this project because a) i didn't have to build anything and b) the interchangable parts let me build without having to commit completely one way or the other.

first i got the ben 10 in the mail, yay. then i gutted it and played with configurations.

PROBLEM!!! the ben 10 logos are part of 1 huge plastic piece that is paramount to the connectivity...ie i cannot just pop the lense out and replace it with a custom bane one. that put a kink in my plan for light up stuff. so i figured perhaps i could make a gauge, attach it UNDER the ben 10 logo and have the window display the digits and i could just turn the dial and it would have a similar 'functional' effect.

in the end the ideas were fun for detail, but detail no one would see... so i made a static gauge and placed it over teh window in the end.

once i knew the size and direction i was going, i began painting everything. bane's was SILVER in Knightfall, but i opted for black with copper piping, sorta steampunkish, i felt that the prison would have had that kind of tech.

the other thing i noticed, is that while wearing the thing, which originally was going over my wrist and back of my hand...i didn't care for the placement. sorta cool but ultimately not functional and restrictive, so i played with a loose joint...still didn't like it. i moved it down to wrist, didn't seem right. so i flipped it, and i liked it a lot.

its funny how u can design the mockup from the actual pics of hte product, but still end up changing it at the last minute.

so the one covering looked more like a valve gear than the other, so i opted to use that. the black 4 way piece i may actually place on a TANK im still flirting with building and that way use it as the hub for the wrist tube to connect to, then send off a second tube to the head.

there are a lot of options with this thing, and i haven't decided what the final look will be just yet, prolly not till i get the mask and see whats what, but this is what we got so far.

COMIC BANE FANS UNITE! if u miss ur dose of venom from ur nolan film fav this piece and build one urself!!! lets show the nolan bane's this halloween and ny comic con who the real banes are!!!!!

fallout is similar to 50s sci fi, but the truly distinguishing characteristic of old school sci fi, is clean, not dirt. so that is why fallout is a bit more steampunk. its somewhat similar throwback with the tankstyles but rivits were also not big in sci fi of the era. check out the film FORBIDDEN PLANET, thats pretty solid.

Well yeah but the scifi tech is old since the world did blow up and everything is hand me down from the better time xD but I digress.
Yeah its a bit more steampunk too I agree because of all the rivets and stuff. I think i MAY have seen it already if not a long ass time ago

i should have mentioned that the gauge is extendable up and down, so i can slam it down for an effect of 'engaging' venom. there is also a working button for the light up effect, which i may replace. i am thinking of dropping inside where that piece goes, a sound effect or something if i can find something.
