Is the view that bright in reality? It's simply spectacular even if the picture is enhanced.

On this particular night it was not. The camera settings and post processing makes it seem much brighter than in reality.
We did not get to see any powerful aurora shows on this trip and the KP was between 2-3 ( All about the KP index ).
On a previous trip we had more luck and it looked very similar to this in real life:

A fantastic green light in the sky! Is the aurora quickly moving or is it static for a time? When is the best time to go to the North to see the Aurora? I am just watching the Aurora Forecast....

Hehe, I am not really an expert on this field as I've only been to the north twice in the winter.
From my experience it can sometimes stand still for hours and other time be dancing very quickly.
You really need to watch the shutter speed to not get a green blur.
You should be able to see it as long as it's dark enough, so I guess between October and April
