Description
Both hooksnfangs and TricksyPixel requested Ren and Stimpy, and how could I possibly say no to either of them?
I was a huge Ren & Stimpy fan back in ancient times. I still remember the night the very first episode aired on Nickelodeon, because I'm an old man and recall my cartoons with love and fondness.
I only wish the show came to a better end. In the early 2000s the creators resurrected the show as a more "adult" cartoon. It was absolutely terrible. Sexist, racist, unfunny, and with some of the worst voice acting I've ever seen on a so-called professional production. It sounded like everyone recorded their lines in a truck stop bathroom. Billy West, the original voice actor for both Ren and Stimpy, wasn't even part of the show because he thought doing so would negatively affect his career. Sooooo... yeah. It didn't end well. Be all of us kids who watched the original show in the 90s can remember how amazing it was and pretend the new version never existed.

I love how they came out in your style!! I think Stimpy is ADORABLE, which is weird because I personally think neither are cute in actuality LOL. I like how you did Ren's eyebrows, and his gross lil hairs!

Original series was good, but I became less fond of it once I realized John K. enjoys shock value for no other purpose other than to use shock value.

To be honest, this is one part of my childhood I don't want to revisit. Since this show was one of my earlier childhood memories, I actually can't remember too much about why it disturbed me, nor anything that visually stood out that did scare me. Yet there was definitely something off about this show that made me rather uncomfortable in wanting to watch it again.

And if I have to pick an episode that I enjoyed when it was on Netflix (along with most other non-movie Nickelodeon shows before Viacom's contract went poot), it was the "Happy Happy Joy Joy" episode. I forget what it was called.

My parents never let me watch the show as a kid. And of course, in hindsight, it was better than "Adult Party Cartoon". Which I've never seen, thank God. We can't have Stimpy without West, can we? Heck no!

Ren & Stimpy was one hell of a cartoon. Watching it again only made me ask what kind of kid I was watching this back then!
John K is a master at making cartoons WEIRD, GROSS, and FUNNY! However "Adults Party" was totally unnecessary. The show as ADULT as it needed to be alreadyΒ

As a person born in the early 2000's (01 to be exact) I can safely day I had the honor to grow up with the original nicktoons and cartoon network shows.
