Last year, in summer, while I had nothing to do, I decided to make some music-centered drawings, without focusing the attention on the musician, just on the instrument or the technique instead.As you can see from my profile the Japanese visual-kei/jRock group the GazettE is one of my favourite, so that's where I started from. Here you have Kai, the drummer. It comes from a screenshot from the video of "Chizuru", as the real fans will see

L'anno scorso, in estate, mentre non avevo nulla da fare, ho deciso di fare qualche disegno incentrato sulla musica, senza però concentrarmi sull'artista, quanto sullo strumento o la tecnica.
Come potete vedere dal mio profilo, il gruppo visual-kei/jRock the GazettE è uno dei miei preferiti, così ho deciso di iniziare da loro. Qui avete Kai, il batterista. Deriva da uno screenshot dal video di "Chizuru", come i veri fan avranno capito

I really love the simplicity of this ^^ I like how the attention is focused to the drumming technique instead of Kai himself, as you said. And you picked a good PV I think ... Although his equipment is quite basic in Chizuru, Kai plays with so much passion and emotion that it you just can't help but focus on his playing. Great work on your part (:
