Thank God! Someone drew an actual lich not some Lich King from the Blizzard franchise (I'm really getting sick of Warcraft and its drooling idiot fanboys). Or some decrepit old man of a corpse. I love the stance its not dynamic but it makes him look sinister and powerful.

Very strong pose, this guy looks like a serious badass. One quick criticism though: the spell he's casting and the staff orb are very bright and saturated-- it would make this piece a lot stronger if you pull that reflective colour around more-- here's an example [link] Might even be cool to make the red orb glow, reflect that light on him also and create some neat complimentary colour palettes. Great work!

I have to say, normally I don't like it when the robes and pauldrons reach above the back of the head. Thanks to mind flayer images I feel it's been overplayed a bit, but you've actually done really well with this design. I like how it all flows together, even with it reaching over. Well done.

Finally, a lich that doesn't look like just another frail spellcaster, but something toughened from being undead. VERY nice work on lighting, and the design of his robes.
