Description This was Aihime before she became Aihime. I was trying to create a character that had ran away from home and wanted to join the army. Because of this, she cut her hair to show her dishonor. She originally was a noble coming from the Date clan...and was in love, from afar, to Date Masamune (which is a favorite character of mine in both Samurai Warriors/Sengoku Musou 1 and 2).

I love the coloration of this picture. It was originally supposed to be all gold, with gold and white trim, but...once I started to look at it, I deced on green because of the hair and eye color...and when it was done, I was very pleased. I've never used this color combination, and was absolutely fascinated with it. Don't be surprised if you see more of this scheme in the future. *.*

Prismacolor markers, sharpie markers, and waterproof black ink pen.

Aside from the fact that I have problems with original characters who have any close interaction with Samurai Warriors characters (they're historical figures, for goodness' sake), that's good art.

Thanks XD And it was outta complete and utter boredom. O.o;; Needed something to pass the time while everyone was mad at the normal GM XD It was hastily thrown together to mildly amuse and to keep people busy. o.o; strangely, it worked.

Usually, I start with the skin, then hair and eyes, and from there...pick out the color theme I want to do for the character I'm drawing, but this was a little different. I knew what her hair tone and stuff were, but I also knew, by the character she was based under, what her color scheme was. The problem was...trying to put gold, green, white, and brown look good with a red head T.T:

It sometimes helps. I also don't usually use more than three different colors for a pic, four sometimes is pushing it. Anything else can turn out a little muddled and busy o.o;

Ahh! I don't work like that...I should really give that way a try.
