Name: Gregory Mason

Age: Appears around 30; born 1970
Gender: Male
Height: 6’1”
Personality: Reserved; slow to trust; friendly, if hard. Mason’s lifestyle has left him seeming somewhat distant, but a beer or two will loosen him up just fine.

Recently he has been having difficulty controlling himself, his rough emotional background and way of living taking a costly toll on him. He keeps this information as quiet as possible.

Background: Mason had a fairly straightforward childhood. Smart, but not inclined towards schooling, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18 and moved far from his small home town in the mountains of Colorado. Military life satisfied him until an incident in the early ‘90s, when he was hospitalized after what appeared to be an animal attack.

Chronic pain from the assault and lingering PTSD from the war left him with an honorable discharge and nothing to do. It was less than a week later that the full impact of his attack became known, and suddenly staying near civilization was no longer an option – Mason ran.

Northern Vermont seemed distant enough, a desperate attempt to get far away from anything and everything he knew. Eventually Mason migrated down to Elkhorn to find more of his kind, briefly lead a small pack a few years later, and finally resigned himself to a quieter, more private lifestyle, keeping neither family nor pack ties.

Mason currently runs a small business leading city slickers on hunts in the Adirondack wilderness. He is also employed privately by those seeking to eliminate the more malicious werewolves in the community, and has been hunting his own kind for the past fifteen years - though he limits himself to only taking out the crazed and the dangerous.

Though he maintains good relations with Vale and the other neutral packs in the area, many of the Belekt hate his guts. He keeps himself well within Vale territory when not working.

His old injuries still bother him, most notably the collection of scars on his shoulder and neck.
