This really reminds me of the Alien movies or Ecco the dolphin games, where you had to manage alien-like puzzles. The graphics in Ecco the Dolphin had similar glow and details in them!
This is truly a piece of eye candy for someone like me, who enjoys beautiful gems, sharp details and strong vivid colours in art! It is a beautiful piece of art and it really inspires me to create something alien-like aswell. I could imagine this being at a wall of some kind of an abandoned alien ship/building, where you could touch all of those funny buttons! 
If this would exist in real life, I would go and touch and nibble absolutely everything!
