The use of red hues represent the character's appearance well, as it shows that the Charlatan is a man of war, with crossbow ready and foil on standby.
In addition, the use of angles is used fairly well, from the torso to the knees, boots, and braces around the arm.
The bolts add a little differential by allowing a cooler color to enter the scene; blue. This, in addition to the spiral hand grip on the rapier, gives for a impression that the Charlatan isn't just a man of war, but one seeking halcyon and tranquility once the fighting is over.

Looks pretty badass for a charlatan. I used to think charlatans were either charming, handsome rogues or ineffectual frauds but this one looks like he could be in Assassin's Creed.
