Description
This is an update to the old Guardians cover (though I am thinking about changing the name), for the novel version I'm writing.
I had to rush it, as I used it as an art project. This is meant to be a slightly less cartoony, more realistic version.

An almost direct reference (at least for the mid section of the face) was used in this, from a picture I took myself.
EDIT: I am not discontinuing the comic!

Woah. I am really surprised by the massive detail and pin-point accurate precision you've had with this astounding piece. I love how I am having a hard time finding the wielded emotion, although I am most certain there is one, and it is well-connected to the story. I don't know if I like your cartoony version or this one better... But I do know that I truly do like this illustration!

I would would rather read the novel version over a comic - tbh, a novel offers an open ended interpretation of the readers instead of being spoon fed everything.
A picture is worth a thousand words but imagination creates thousands more

This is a great one! I like the straight-on face.
I'm writing my own anthro novel, and if I want to get it published, I know I need to have anthro right on the cover to lure the curious reader.
