Is just the desaturated colours? the composition of a whirlwind? the dying faces of the cats, the way they fill every single space of the canvas?

This is quite amazing. The positions of their bodies against another--the way they're mingled ontop of each other in a way that fits the piece--is really eye-catching, and the realistic and yet 'stylized' way they were drawn and colored is quite unique and goes well with the mood of this piece.
The addition of blood--but not too much--was a nice touch as well and also served as a meaning for the piece, besides the title, ofcourse.

For some reason this really touched me.
Maybe it's the sense of love between these two, as suggested by their intertwined forms.
Or maybe it's the sense of sorrow, as portrayed by the white leopard's body language.
