Description This is a portrait from the cover of the album 'Come Away with Me', done in color pencil over regular paper. It's my first full color portrait, since others I've done are mostly in black pencil. I am still learning to improve my technique and maybe the resemblance is not 100%..Oh well, I tried.

Ya veras que podras dibujar excelente...el chiste es que no te desanimes..y le sigas y sigas dando... yo muchas veces me he sentido tambien que me gustaria dibujar mejor...como cuando vi la galeria de este chavo que apenas tiene 16 aΓ±os... [link] te recomiendo que la veas cuando puedas.... dibuja lo que mas te guste...y hazlo tan frecuente comopuedas...ademas tienes mucha juventud por delante..asi que a darle!!! ademas tu ya tienes bastante talento tambien!! no lo dudes...

This is so amazingly beautiful. I'm not quite sure who norah Jones is, be she is stunningly gorgeous, or maybe you've just made her that way. It simply stumps me how you can create so much depth and highlights in her hair alone. I'm so impresed with the amazing ability you have with skin tones. This is an exceptional piece of work. With every visit to your gallery I find everything more and more interesting. And the lips... I could die now and be happy

Hi Jenny..so nice of you to have left so many awesome comments!! ...I thank you dearly indeed am a bit tired right now, but will get back to reply properly on all of them as soon as I can...Norah is a jazz-bluegrass-folk-country singer, from Texas, and she's released 2 albums so far, the first, 'Come Away with me' and then 'Feels like home' the second one. She has an amazing personality, very down to earth and simple, good sense of humour and above all, her voice is really deep and soft, covering a wide range of different tones, all with a silk-like smoothness or smokey like coarseness, which makes a unique sound in her way to sing, in my opinion. Also, she's teamed up with a very talented group of musicians, and they perform their songs live with the same level of quality as their studio recordings. You should most definitely try to get one or both of her albums..I think you might like them. ... you're very sweet with your thoughts about the drawing, and I'm really grateful that the skin tones ended up coming nice...I worked from the darker tones to the lighter ones in this case, you can check my progress in two previous drawings at my geocities website, which im putting the link here --> [link] . This drawing teached me a lot about color pencils, and it gave me confidence to start exploring this medium more and more..in these recent days I feel I just want to keep on drawing...but I have some other matters to take care of first, lol..like the ymca thingie...anyways, I hope you had a great day too!!

thanks, Jen cool buddie...sure I can spare some!!...you can check this link of an older webpage i have in geocities...where i actually had the 'works in progress' when i did this Norah drawing..i started using only about 2 colors or one..for most of the outlines..and then began working in filling the clearer colors..this was the opposite as i've done my recent ones..which have been from lighter tones to darker.. anyway, you're more than welcome to check it out [link] thanks again!

You should really do book illustrations. Your work reminds me of the set of the Chronicals of Narnia I have the work is very similar and I love it. Its absolutely beautiful you are very talented!

Hmm...that sounds like a lot of fun!!!..hehehe...I'm a civil engineer but maybe it's not too late to change my career..lol oh well, I've seen books about how they make movies, like Final Fantasy from Square Studios, and there are also a huge amount of drawings and doodles i've seen they have to make for the screenplay..hm..anyways, I'll be sure to check the drawings you mentioned to me...Thank you very much for stopping by and Congratulations for your marriage!!! I just went to a concert on november 4th and even though there were no mosh pits going on there (not likely with Norah's wonderful and charming songs..hehe..) I was totally 'crushed' when I saw her live and listened and her voice...she's such a beautiful woman, in every..sense..of..the way...hehehehe

Thank you so much for your comment on this drawing...this piece has come to be more especial to me recently because I had the great opportunity to go to a concert of Norah Jones on wednesday 3rd here in indianapolis...I was so impressed not only by her voice and great instrument arrangments, but also by such a colorful, humble, charming and down-to-earth personality of Norah... ...oh well hopefully on weekends I'll have a good chance to catch up on commenting on the galleries I've seen briefly (yours included) thank you again!! ~ Juan Pablo

i was sitting around one day and i almost drew this too, i started to actually and i wasn't feeling it, my juice (thats what i call my mojo aka my ability to draw at the moment) wasn't there so i didn't do it...i am glad it would not have stood up against this colorful rendition of norah jonse...which by the way...i was sure was a drawing of N.Jones the moment i saw it...beautifully done...nothing negative to say. i love the light you captured in her eyes, the warmth of her skin and lips and the hues of her hair...you flared up the photo because the actual photo is dull compared to this.

I really can't believe this didn't get more comments... this is really a great piece. Like I told someone the other day though, theres just such a constant stream of doodles, bs photos and crap being uploaded (like some of my stuff I guess, haha) that people miss good stuff like this... pretty sad really.
