Evan always seems to be on a permanent sugar high with his energy and enthusiasm for just about anything. At times he can be annoyingly cheerful with his personality and his carefree attitude can make him appear irresponsible. He easily breezes through serious subjects and plays them off in order to keep the mood lighthearted. Evan enjoys meeting and talking to people even without asking for their name first. While he is able to recognize most faces he has a bad habit of not remembering exact names. In the end this results in him calling others by odd 'nicknames' that only consist of part of their real name or for those he knows for a longer time he ends up choosing one of those nicknames to stick with. Many times others may not know he is addressing them due to the butchered up names he calls them by. Even if told off by others Evan easily bounces back with the same eagerness as before. Very rarely can a topic bring down his cheerful spirit even if he does feel emotionally hurt. So far he is under the impression that everyone and anyone is a friend.

He avoids negative situations or confrontations and will physically run off or try to sneak out of the room if he feels the conversation is leading in this direction. Evan fears upsetting or being rejected by others. He doesn't like to choose sides even if his opinion may lean towards one way in order to not put his relationship with the other in danger. If cornered he has a hard time saying no and can be bullied into doing things he otherwise may not want to.

Evan has a bad habit of allowing other's disappointment to get to him especially for those he considers as his idols or close friends. Commonly their disappointment in him serves as an important motivator to make him take a situation or order more seriously. He very much enjoys being praised for the smallest of things even if they are not necessarily positive traits.

【HISTORY】 Evan has lived all his life in Midorijima under the care of his grandparents. His parents, having had married young, were in love with the idea of going on adventures and did not wish to settle down just yet with a child. Rather than to settle down in a permanent residence to raise their son, they made the immediate decision to find somewhere else to place him in while they returned to their whimsical lifestyle. Evan's grandparents, who were living in Midorijima, graciously took in their grandson when asked by his parents and have since then been raising him to the best of their ability. No effort was made by his parents to keep in touch with him and they have since then lost all contact and knowledge of their current whereabouts. His grandparents, during the first years, had remained hopeful that his parents would eventually grow up into their parental responsibilities and become more involved with their son's life; however, that wish has yet to be fulfilled. Although Evan does know of the reasoning behind the absence of his parents in his life, he chooses to act blissfully ignorant in acknowledging them or bringing up their existence.

Growing up, Evan spent the majority of his time running around the small ice cream parlor that his grandparents ran in Kyuujuuminku. It was just large enough to also include a second story for himself and his grandparents to live in comfortably. Evan wouldn't describe the shop as being insanely popular but there were enough regulars, including many elderly and school children, who visited the shop from time to time to keep it up and running. The cheerful environment of the parlor became an important influence in his life growing up and he grew up idolizing and respecting the work his grandparents put into raising him on their own. Its friendly atmosphere and kind customers easily persuaded the young boy into seeing them as an extension of his own family as well.

His first and only allmate, Fredrick, was given to him when he was 5 by his grandparents as a birthday gift. Frederick's responsible, gentleman-like demeanor made for a perfect older brother figure for the boy. His presence also helped to reassure his grandparents that their grandson would be safe especially since they were growing older and were unable to keep up with all the boundless energy that he seemed to have. They chose Fredrick's model under the impression that the cockroach's durability will work better in the long run when dealing with such an active child. Unfortunately though, Fredrick was not met with all positive reactions by their customers at the parlor.

Evan was only recently brought into the world of Rhyme when he finally turned of age to be allowed to participate. Rhyme has been a popular topic for discussion amongst his underage classmates even from before most of them were technically old enough to play. The excitement after years of hearing about the virtual game has made him undeniably eager to hurry and join in on the fun. Once he began playing, Evan quickly grew immensely fascinated by the world of Rhyme and now takes whatever chance he can to play. Fredrick often scolds him for playing too often but the allmate also seems to secretly enjoys participating in the battles with him as he never says no to the boy when asked. Soon after he began to become more invested in Rhyme, he also became involved with his first Rhyme team, momentu(M)ori. He idolizes the reasoning behind the founding of the group as it mirrors his own innocent view to live life to the fullest each day. While Evan isn't as experienced as several other members in the group, he more than makes up for it in his enthusiasm to play.

He is currently in his second year attending Narashino High. While the boy still enjoys socializing with his classmates, he tends to spend most if not all of his free time helping out at the ice cream parlor or playing Rhyme. His responsibilities have since increased in the store and the teenager can often be found manning the cashier or engaging with the customers on his own.
