Eh, I don't see what the girls all see in this guy as far as sexiness goes... After all, he was raised by Pokemon, ya' know...
However, as far as character goes, he is the best we've come across for a rival trainer against the player, let alone, because he's rather mentally unstable and all motivated to work with team Plasma, you're actually WANTING to beat him as opposed to the other rivals in previous games. Heck, both Plasma and Galactic were teams I wanted to punish as opposed to that team Racket and teams Magma and Aqua... :V
And Reshiram is a nice touch too...

I guess it's the mental instability and the fact that he loves Pokemon a little too much that makes people see him as sexy. Although I did wish to beat the sensibility into him and get him to realize the error of his ways. (Too bad he didn't stick around for a rematch postgame.)

N's character and backstory is the most fleshed out and developed of any pokemon character, he is simply epic, in fact not just epic but Two steps from Hell: Heart of Courage Epic

To tell you the truth, N's eyes are not green/emerald/etc . If you ever played the game, in the beginning- you will see N's eye; and it's actually blue. Thousands of people had made this mistake due to bulbapedia's Mistake and other popular pokemon websites. there's also the fact that most people assume that anime/game character's eye color usually matches with their hair.
