Description Here is a new hair add-on for the ComiPo characters! It is a different form of twintails/ponytail.

Download: 「ComiPo! New Twintails」 (In .csu files)
CAUTION: This is made only for ComiPo software. Do NOT work in MMD (MikuMikuDance) or other 3D software.

Read the “README FIRST” text file in the RAR file first before importing the CSU files into ComiPo! Or before asking how to put it on character’s head.

There are two ways to use twintails/ponytails:
-The twintail 3D model that used only one "Head_Item" slot, but can’t change the size too much or else it won’t fit on the character’s head anymore.
-The right ponytail and the left ponytail models that both together will use up two precious “Head_Item” slots, but give more choices to design your character.

Credit for the "tip hair" hair model from his "MMD - Back Set 1" pack before I edited/changed the model to match the ComiPo character’s hair colors.

can you teach me to make stuff like this?

AKIO-NOIR In reply to Dat-Auri-El [2014-04-05 00:17:04 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, I don't have the time to explain the very long steps on how to make those stuff. I have planned of making a tutorial/guide, since other people have asked your question before. However, I can't make any promise I will finish it in the future.

A few tips I can give you: You will first need to know how to convert other 3D file types to OBJ or MQO, so I recommend video Tutorial: How to convert from PMD to MQO for Comipo > www.youtube.com/watch?v=E87KRq… and my tutorial: ComiPo!: How to convert SKP file to OBJ file . Afterward, you need to look for Metasequoia tutorials on how to edit 3D models.

Do you have to buy the full version to install this?

AKIO-NOIR In reply to NiallLee [2013-11-26 00:54:10 +0000 UTC]

Yes, you need to buy it because the free trial version don't include 3D import function.

It's not really fair that the clothes and stuff are free for the japanese version, but cost a lot of money on the english version... I need more clothes!!! @~@

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AKIO-NOIR In reply to MangaColosseum [2013-03-09 08:26:27 +0000 UTC]

That is not true. The Japanese version need also to pay to get more clothes. The paid stuff for the English version is only one pack that cost around $15. If combined it with English full version, it is cheaper than Japanese full version.

I have compared both English and Japanese version & it's item packs prices, and it is surprising that they are the same price ($115). On top, I used $50 for English full version's price in the calculation, so if you got the One-Day deal of $35 at Cruncyroll on March 8th 13, you will get it even at cheaper price.

Back then when I bought the Japanese Comipo, Yen to Dollar was weak, which mean Japanese version was way more expensive than English version.

Oh I see. I saw somewhere that the Japanese DLC was free. I don't remember where Cause I researched ComiPo! on a lot of different sites today. haha.
Yeah, I got it from Crunchyroll for $29.99 because I'm a premium member so I got an additional discount. But that is still a lot of money just to get more clothes and stuff.

You probably mean the Bonus Items that you can get for free at both versions. Yeah, it is too expensive only to get more clothes & stuffs. You got it for $29.99...

MangaColosseum In reply to AKIO-NOIR [2013-03-18 10:24:19 +0000 UTC]

So is there a way to make your own clothes? Or just hair and eyes like you have?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AKIO-NOIR In reply to MangaColosseum [2013-03-18 20:07:41 +0000 UTC]

The hair are not make by myself. (except the eyes because it is simple to make) I used hair parts from other 3D programs like MMD,3DCG or rip off the parts from the game characters. The ComiPo! user who I know that can make 3D models from scratch is .

I do edit clothes to make it fit on characters, but I prefer not to make body clothes, and release it as public download like my Hair Add-Ons and Eyes because you will need to use "Desk_items" or "Low_Table_Items" slot. The 3D models attached to the "Head_Items" slots will stay the same on the head when changing the pose and/or moving the head around. The other two slots stay fixed in the same place. Every time you change the pose you will need to move the 3D models back to the body, and it can be tiresome.

If you are still interested, you can find many clothes in MikuMikuDance Community by searching example "mmd clothes" on DeviantArt, and convert it to .obj or .mqo files.

how do you convert pmd files to csu files?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AKIO-NOIR In reply to AKIRANOKU [2013-01-24 07:16:15 +0000 UTC]

Sorry for the late reply. I used 's video Tutorial: How to convert from PMD to MQO for Comipo >[link] < to convert PMD to MQO/OBJ files. Then I import the MQO/OBJ files into ComiPo program, and the CSU files will be automatic created, and stored in another folder.

Also to remind it that CSU files can not be converted back to PMD/MQO/OBJ files. Be sure to keep the MQO/OBJ files around.

after converting something in which folder will i put it ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AKIO-NOIR In reply to AKIRANOKU [2013-01-28 01:13:25 +0000 UTC]

After converting to either OBJ or MQO file, open Comipo (Full/Paid version), and import the 3D model file. A picture to show where in Comipo you can import: [link]

If you want to know where your CSU files are after importing it, click on "Tools"(On the top-left side), and select "Open 3D Data Saved Folder". In the new opened folder, there is a folder called "New Data", and the CSU files should be in it.

Yes, it is just as you said. If you are interested, there is free trial version available [link] , but very limited use. The paid version is around $50. The software has some flaws/restrictions, but it is still a great software to create your own comic. ^_^

where's your source for clothes?

AKIO-NOIR In reply to Shiroune [2012-08-24 18:59:54 +0000 UTC]

I am using the Japanese ComiPo version (You can buy it from here: [link] ), so I have got all newest clothes packs, while English Comipo users (Buy here: [link] ), who are behind, are still waiting for some of the clothes packs to be available. After buying the software, you still need to buy the clothes packs each separately.

No problem. I always wanted to have that kind of ponytail in Comipo. While waiting for the ComiPo creators to make it in the future updates(probably not), I will make it instead. It is faster this way. lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FJolliff In reply to AKIO-NOIR [2012-08-18 05:39:50 +0000 UTC]

Yes, much faster. The Comipo people are starting to make an 'Anime Maker' so I foresee them slacking on the manga maker even more than they were before... Of course, its only been mentioned...
