No worries! I'm in Gainesville - 50 miles north of Atlanta. My boyfriend is in the Air Force, but has been in and out of Ft. Stewart for various reasons. Is your brother still serving?

no he served for six years then got out. there are times when he has wished hed stayed in. he saw a lot of things though that still bother him. war is an ugly thing no doubt- but necessary it seems to keep peace... now isnt that a strange thing about us humans... need war to keep peace? how long has your bf be in?

Sometimes war is the only solution for peace, ugly and horrible as it is. I hope your brother is able to overcome those demons. I know it isn't easy for anyone to easily put such things behind them.
Don has been in the AF for 19 years and served one tour in Afghanistan and two in Iraq.

Tell Don when you see him next that I send him a big thank you... and to you too. I know it cant be easy for you either. May I ask how you both feel then about the up and coming election? I know I will vote for the conservative side- but feel that there many things wrong even there. I worked in politics for about 5 years as a journalist and commentator. I saw many facets that I didnt like- but in the end have always counted myself toward the conservative side of things. I suppose you could say in history my top presidents would have to be.. Kennedy, Nixon, Reagan...

I can understand the position of remaining neutral while serving- tis true whomever will be still commander and chief.
Yes I have had people wonder how the world I could be so conservative economically and socially when I seem to be this open minded free thinker artist... but just because I listen and give a kindness of paying attention and considering someones views that are not my own does not mean I agree with them- but I do believe in honoring them. There is definite right and wrong- but there are areas of considerable sides where a plethora of ideals can come into play. I suppose I see it this way, either you can force the buggers to believe you by sword and threat of death or try to see things through their eyes in order to gain a perspective... then the ideal of sitting down to have a chat in a logical manner is much easier to obtain. I will always argue for what I believe (God is our Lord) and such... but I will never stalk off in a huff and hate someone who disagrees with me.
Keep moving forward- the economic times will resettle themselves. History always has her way of repeating... and this too shall pass.
Call me Kerry by the way...

Hi Kerry! Sorry....I fell asleep on my desk last night. You are 3 hours behind me...
Anyway, you and I have so much in common, from our political views to our Christian beliefs. I am quite tolerant of anyone else's beliefs no matter what they may be; however, it infuriates me when people try to tell me my own views are wrong or unjust. Kind of like all these bozo celebrities tongue-lashing Republicans, conservatives and Christians. They are entitled to their opinions, but they have NO right to tout that their opinions are the only ones that matter.
I guess I am an anomaly....being the conservative Christian that I am as far as politics and religion are concerned, I still have this extremely dark, wild and very free-spirited streak. I think one of my best traits is that I try my best never to judge ANYONE, for I am so far from perfect myself.
Ahhhh.....the markets will correct themselves soon enough after the election. Hopefully within a year. You are so right about history repeating itself. I wish everyone had such a calm, intelligent attitude toward the economy.
I'm so glad we are friends, Kerry! I'm Andrea....talk to you soon!

Andrea I imagine the crick in your neck is horrid! Falling asleep at the computer! LOL! Oh the things we dA addicts do! We all need therapy! So glad to have had the chance to get to know you better. Please keep in touch and let me know how things are going with your bigger dream. Maybe you could turn your talents with art into something major to help with homeless animals... something that would catch on all across the country. I know there are events out there but there is always more to do. Creative people always find solutions! I am off to bed early tonight the alarm goes off too early here. I am ready already for a break... I still always ask... why cant someone just pay me to be...ME? LOL! my email too btw is cowgirlzenphoto@yahoo.com
Have a great Monday!
