This took 322 minutes on Shi Painter Pro Dx (and the timer didn't lie. I worked on it virtually the whole time.)Anyways, this's Temeraire the Celestial Dragon from the series by Naomi Novik, which is also called Temeraire xD. It's such a good series .^. But I won't bore you with my nerdy book talks xD
Let's just talk about the picture =3. I'm pretty pleased with it, and my biggest issue is the trees. I don't really like how they look :/ -sigh-
And the mountains are too close to the color of the sky x3x. But Otherwise I think they turned out cool
I don't know how to shade metal either xD;; I just sort of.. guessed.
I'm also irritated because I only got 5 comments. Some realistic dog pic that wasn't even finished got three times as many. I spent nearly 5 and a half hours on that Dx
-sigh- SRO can be so clique-y (basically, if you're not one of the people who are 'popular', you're ignored)

I love it. The only thing is that his collar is supposed to have a pearl, surrounded by sapphires. *is shot* What do I know, I'm a nitpicky fangirl! THis is gorgeous, and there sould be more Temeraire art.

Although, that will probably change in like a year. Just like with The Sight. When I read it, no one had heard of it, but like a year later, EVERYONE was reading it 9_9 And recommending it to me xD

I've heard rumors of a Temeraire movie, but I'm not sure. I have no clue about The Sight, but the Eragon movie SUCKS. They cut out EVERYTHING important. Seriously, it was SO bad >-<

It seemed okay to me, but I never read the book, so I dunno xD;
They did a good job with the dragon animation though c:

Saphira was lovely, but they destroyed all the characters. Arya was supposed to be tougher, not an oh-im-so-helpless-save-me princess. She was also supposed to have BLACK hair, not blonde. And Brom was supposed to be an old man, not just some middle-aged dude trying to ACT old. Plus they completely cut some characters, like Orik and Solembum (read the book to find out about them).

Temeraire is a great series and im still enjoying it at the moment. i think you captured his image quite well and i notice you got his necklace in there too

I notice a lot of people forget the necklace.... by the way, is that how you imagined it? I don't remember there being an especially in-depth description, so I never had a super-clear picture of what it's look like x3;

Yea, thats pressty close to how i imagined him to be, and same here about not having a clear picture of what he looks like, i wanted to draw temeraire but i wasnt sure about a few things. I think you got his size just right though, so kudos to you ^^

Yeah, that's the name of the first book, but the author refers to the whole series as "Temeraire"

Well, it's not that they change color, but I think they could've been a good bit darker (less light=darker objects). It was more just they didn't show up as well as I would have liked.

Haha xD; He's actually more of a flying tank (in the series dragons are used in aerial combat), but in this book's version of China, they have taxi dragons as well xDD
