Wow I am cranking shit out like a factory lately.Okay so another concept. Now even Ren said he has only seen ONE and only ONE Stegosaur kaiju ever. So the idea is so ripe for the picking that I can NOT pass that up.
However the idea for a Stegosaur Kaiju isn't new to me. I had the idea for some time. Just never really refined it. Part of me sort of kicked the idea since I already forced my hand to make Dinosaurs in Dawn of Monsters near extinct, save for a select few. The reason for that is because everyone uses dinosaurs since Godzilla himself is a dinosaur. There an archetype, there needed, but they can over flood any ones kaiju library. Its like having space shooting games; to damn many.
Anyway, here we go. This Stegosaur is nothing particularly special. Most herbivore kaiju made from Triceratops, Ankyosaurs and etc are almost all bruisers, so I may fallow that same formula. The creature walks upright most of the time, hunched over, has an unusually long tail that ends with three spikes instead of the old four, and is is in a sense a tank.
It can also move forward using the two massive spines on its shoulder which act as the same way as Triceratops may have. I think that's new and creative of me.
so give me some feedback, people. Honest opinions and so on.

Very neat concept for a Stego Kaiju. I like that it's bipedial, nice change from most four legged dino Kaiju. Mixing in the other dinosaurs was a good choice, too.

I'm Gadon on the critique aspect but otherwise I like what I see. If you've ever seen any of the 'Terrasaurs' from Monstapocalyse you can get an idea of how 'dinosaur' can be taken into fairly original directions.

Google 'Monsterpocalypse' and you'll see some neat imagery. The site is down so who knows if there is anything left to make of it but it was a neat series.

I would tweak the hands a little bit to make them a tad more useful, other then that i can't think of much that I would think needs to be changed. Certainly a very strapping stego you got there, though I would vote for it to be female. Why? Because I call for kaiju gender equality! lol And ass(tail) kicking females are awesome.

So? Your not only making up for your kaijuverse, but all the others where females are just carbon copies of males and doomed to die to insight plot points and rage of the main characters...because I am sick and tired of seeing that! *feminist rage!* lol

I think I've seen three, counting this guy.
"Nothing particularly special"...you're wrong there. The other two stego' kaiju I've seen were both pretty much oversized stegosaurs, but this...this has potential. Of course, it needs refining, but the overall concept of "bipedal, thumb-spiked stegosaur" is pretty hard to beat for making an herbivorous dinosaur-type bruiser. Three recommendations: 1) it's a bruiser, not a cutter, therefore the spines/plates/etc don't need to be so sharply pointed. Simple blunt-force puncturing spines would probably do better in the design. 2) If you mean for it to have somewhat dexterous hands, then its fifth digit might be slender and flexible, a bit like an Iguanodon's. 3) Stegosaurus is known to have an armored throat, so play around with that idea as you see fit.

Thanks. By "armored", I mean that it has a ton of tiny bone plates on its throat, which are all connected together like biological chainmail. It may've been to protect its throat when it fed in/near cycads, whose leaves were apparently very sharp...or something. So no big plates, just a ton of tiny ones, they'd probably look just like normal scales in your style, so nothing too difficult.

Visually, that's pretty close. Functionally, much more durable. Just don't put little spikes on them, that would kinda kill the "defensive" vibe it gives off.
