A blast from the past! When I was scrolling through your early gallery, this picture stood out in a lot of ways. The contrast is fantastic, and it has that almost vintage look that plays well into the subject matter and title (“Waiting”).
The figure is part of the scene, but also stands out in an incredibly dramatic way. The lines all around her are vertical, leading into the distance, and the figure’s hoodie cuts across those both with the bright white and black color, and the horizontal striping. It’s almost like they don’t belong there in this world of soft and muted colors and falling snow.
The overall effect is eerie and fantastic. I’d leave some critical feedback, but I don’t believe in suggesting improvements on things more than a few years old. That, and this piece is so spiffy, I’m happy to have an excuse to just tell you how awesome it is without trying to come up with some constructive criticisms.
Again, really nice job. Definitely a shot that still holds up well after more than 10 years.

I love the atmosphere in this shot...It's great. The colours fit so well. I am fascinated. It's very inspiring. The editing is so much better than on the other photo. I also think that it's better on his own, because it seems to tell his own story without needing another picture. Even if I do like the idea of the project a lot.
