This is amazing! I've been wanting to try this technique for a while now. It looks like so much work, do you remember how long this took you? It's really cool how you get all those subtle value variations just with dots. You must have a lot of patience!

Thanks CyprinusFox! It is quite a lot of work. This one in particular was done over the period of about 6 months, in two bursts at the beginning and end of that period. It takes a ton of patience and a lot of sitting and watching the paper and visualising the shapes in your mind and a lot of trust that it will work out - you're adding up dot after dot after dot with no way to erase and you sort of have to trust that they will all sum up to something workable and that you won't be laying down dots halfway through the image that won't be harmonious later on.
