Description I can't help but think if i'd taken this pic 100 years ago it would look the same.

strange, it reminds me the dark tower.. have u read it(stephen king)? ruins between railroads, time is really flowing away..

I love the color in this picture.. the fact that the railroad tracks actually turn right immediately gives it a certain sensation that I cant really explain... Props... ^^

I prefer this to the aged version. I like the clarity. The varying shades of brown help convey the sense of deep history, along with the stacked ties and the tracks leading off to an unknown future or perhaps a side trip to what may look clearer but is equally unknown.

A very nice picture! I think you are right that this would have looked pretty much the same a 100 years ago. If you have photoshop, you can make it look even more old

I like how wobbly the rails are... is that track still being used?

Yes, it is still being used.

I think so too. I love the sepia tones you've produced here. I can't help but feel like I'm looking at an old photograph, too. Good job on the composition and the subject matter. I like how you've chosen to place the tracks going off in the distance just left of center in order to get in the objects in the background. It makes this better than just another railroad track shot. love it!!!

I originally took this picture in color of course and some how over looked it when i took it, and when i came back to it and decided it would look very good in black and white or sepia. I was suprised how much removing the color brought out the lines from the rails. I always feel guilty about photoshopping pictures though

Very nice capture.
Classic railroad pic. Good choice with a spot where it splits. Makes it more interesting and makes you wonder which path you'd take.
I also like how the tracks go till the path seems to disappear

The original image i neve really paid much attention to until today. I decided that if i cropped the sky out that it would look better. It really made all the difference.
