The character on the left looks like it is ready to celebrate Christmas with the red and the green and the big bows. really like that one. The black on the legs and arms is much more uniform and solid, no patcheyness at all. I have also worked out what your characters remind me of Georgian Dandies. The only complaint I have at all on this family froup is the black on the top hat is a bit patchy.

They would make a brilliant family group for a Christmas card........
