hi, i am not sure about adobe sw, cos i do not have any but i think there were some plugins by kai krause in the past - kpt series for ps. some flame generator (generating the same type of fractals as with apophysis, jwildfire or frost) exists for gimp. but i recommend you to delve into some specialized fractal sw - most of them are free. send me note - i can write you more + some links.

i am going to hospital tomorrow, not sure when will be back links for almost any fractal sw are here on da - i use apophysis for making them and chaotica as external renderer. check this group apophysis.deviantart.com/ there are links to sw installs, tutorials, data files, etc. if you are interested in 3d fractals - try mandelbulb3d, mandelbulber or incendia. here fractalphiles.deviantart.com/ is nice journal with links to many fractal groups - you will find there many resources and many good fractalists who will help with more specific questions.

i am sorry i can not do more for you right now, i hope i will be back again in a few weeks... so then we can continue.
