This image is a bit of a milestone for me. Long Way From Home is the first artistic 3D render that I have ever created where every single element used was created by me. I modeled and textured the spacesphere and the P-38 Rogue Class Starfighters. Granted, it is a simple render, but everyone has to start somewhere.

The name is a statement about the scene. The paintjob on the P-38's is the same as the Utapauan Skyforce. Since they are in a binary star system, it is safe to assume that they are near Tatooine which is a long ways away from Utapau.

I have no story for this scene. It is simply a tribute image to my favorite starfighter. The design for the P-38 along with its concept is of course copyright to Lucasfilm and Lucasarts. Everything else is copyright to me. I hope you enjoy this image.
