The assassin Francisco Scaramanga in pursuit of 007, uses a golden gun that can be disguised as a cigarette case, lighter, pen and cufflinks. In Ian Fleming’s novel, it was a gold-plated .45 calibre revolver; in the film, it was a single-shot weapon that fires a custom made 4.2 mm gold bullet.
In the 1974 Bond film ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’, the weapon was assembled from a Colibri 88 cigarette lighter, a gold cigarette case, a cuff link and a gold Waterman fountain pen.
