If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dream Mirror" monster: You can Special Summon 1 "Dream Mirror" monster from your hand, except "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Mara". During the Main or Battle Phase, if "Dream Mirror of Joy" is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Sprite" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Mara" once per turn.

A Mare (mara in Old High German and Old Norse ) is a malicious entity in Germanic and Slavic folklore that rides on people's chests while they sleep, bringing on bad dreams (or "nightmares ").
This card is the DARK counterpart of "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Sprite ". They have the same Type and Level , but have opposite Attributes and reversed ATK and DEF .

Both cards are named after Ikelos , one of the thousand sons of Somnus , the personification of sleep from Roman mythology , from Ovid 's Metamorphoses .
