This one got out of hand, but in a good way! That's always a plus when painting.

The original idea with this one was to make a kind of mobile, the kind you put over babies' cribs that spin. It was just the moons and stars hanging from strings attached to the cloud. Then I wanted to fill the space, so I added more strings and that spiraled into all those brushstrokes in the back. At that point, everything else looked too simple, so I went more into the cloud, the moons, and the stars. I do really love how this came out. I feel like my paintings are at their best when I just go all out. All the brushstrokes, filling the space, all the tiny details, just put as much on the canvas as I physically can.
