I really mean it, These hunters are stupid. Rhino horns does not cure illnesses.

Yeah. I hope cloning can save the rhinos

I would prefer the WWF and Zoos to found more natural ways to save rhinos. Also its rarely the poachers who thinks rhino horns are medicine they usually live in a poor country with no real future. And they toke a chance to do something dangerous and unmoral so they can feed there family. While there are merchants trafficking the horns who have pretty sweet deal out of it. Aim the rage agents the ones who profit from rhino and human suffering.

Side note from far as i can tell its a Black Rhino while no one can say any of the living 5 rhino species are safe, they at least in the better end of the spectrum. ^_^

And also lovely picture.

No, cloning are some good use. Why does everyone hate cloning?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blablaur In reply to CyotheLion [2016-02-16 14:12:50 +0000 UTC]

let me put it this way: would You prefer a carrot or a synthetically produced carrot.

cloning is not really effecting atm... I would like it if they could use it as a de-extinction tool but so far they where only able to bring back a European extinct either goat or a ibex... anyways for few minutes than it suffered a lung failure and died out again.

Bottom line cloning is in baby shoes and more of a fantasy than reality atm... not saying they should stop working on it, as they probably wont. But in the present saying oh cloning will solve the problem is like saying "oh we made a mess Mommy will put things back in order" or "lets pray and God will fix things" so basically swiping things under the rug and ignoring the hard work done by WWF and Zoo's which actually have a track record to work way more effectively than cloning does atm.

Aw thanks very much! This was when I started my black and white photos, so I'm not 100% on it, everyone else seems to like it though. My sister got it printed massive on canvas, have to say, it does look nice printed

Thanks again

STE-J-ART [2010-09-19 23:06:17 +0000 UTC]

By 'wild animal park', I'm assuming this is a real live rhino, in which case the photographer has balls. But aside from that, the shot is excellent. There is something majestic and dignified about the head on shot as the rhino is moving. The lighting is striking. It almost looks as if the rhino is emerging from the darkness toward you.
