Yes, great can mean "большой"(not "больше!") in the meaning "big", of large size. In the meaning "famous, outstanding" it is "великий" in Russian. In the meanong "cool, excellent" it's "отличный, крутой". But all these are ajectives in Nominative Case. And if you need adverbs in the constructions like "It's great! (cool, excellent!)", you should use forms: "отлично, круто, здорово!"
