The thing that really grabs me about this is that dragon. It reminds me of how fantastical dragons can be, that this reptile can just lay there in the snow and ice, and be perfectly comfortable.

This looks very solid for watercolours. Did you also use gouache? It's wonderful, so frosty and rich.

Wahnsinn. So einen "soliden", weichen Look kriege ich nicht mal mit meinen FlΓΌssigfarben hin. Echt beeindruckend.

Nein, Docmartins bzw neuerdings Rohrer/Klingner. Die Ecolines sind ja, soweit ich weiΓ, farb-unechte Tuschen; meine sind richtige Aquarellfarben, nur eben in der Flasche. Die Docmartins sind allerdings Mist, die flocken nach wenigen Monaten total aus. Die Rohrer-Klingner sind der Wahnsinn, total ergiebig.

Ja die Lichtechtheit bei den Ecolines ist nicht ganz optimal ([link] ) aber solange man die Bilder nicht direkt ins Sonnenlicht hΓ€ngt sollts kein Problem sein.
Ich bin durch John Howe auf die gekommen. Aber vielleicht probier ich mal deine Rohrer/Klingner.

Die sind recht zΓ€hflΓΌsig. Ein Freund, ~Fumettisto , hatte mich mal vor der fehlenden Lichtechtheit gewarnt. Ich frage mich aber auch, ab wann die ins Gewicht fΓ€llt. Ich habe vor zwei Jahren mal einen Feldversuch mit Schmincke gestartet und auch das angeblich nicht lichtechte Alizarin Crimson ist nach zwei Jahren am Fenster nicht vom abgedunkelten Original zu unterscheiden... Die sind da wohl auch sehr vorsichtig.
Die Ecoline probier ich auf jeden Fall mal aus!
