Description Watercolors, 8 x 35 cm

I had a piece of paper left from another painting. And as I'm not really content with my latest works I wanted to do a better piece even if it's only very small. So here it is. Inspiration came from a landscape described on the very first pages of Ivanhoe.

I love how descriptive Sir Walter Scott is, even if it is annoying at times. His description of the forest at the beginning is so beautiful.

What a lovely stream! the way you paint water is astounding - I can hardly believe this is watercolour.

Thank you very much! Water is surely one of the toughest thing to paint with watercolors. Took me quite some time to get it like this.

It's truly beautiful! I've had that book lying around for more than 8 years, still never read it. I always have othe rbooks to read. This makes me want to read it, I think I'll finally start on it ^^
