Thanks Ilona, let's hope we don't get any of that snow for a while yet!

I have read that the English think it will be a very cold winter since 30 years, I am curious, but hope not,

Oh, you know our reputation for talking about the weather! Every couple of months there are headlines and stories of how it's going to be the hottest, coldest, wettest, driest for xx years and then almost always fails to live up to the hype. We were supposed to have had our hottest summer ever this year; well we did have the hottest day on record, but the rest of the summer was nothing out of the ordinary and certainly nowhere near as hot over a prolonged period as it was last year or in the epic summer of 1976.

The same in the Netherlands. also the hottest day ever, but the rest was moderate. In the Netherlands and England people talk about the weather every day, Derek 🌞🍁☔️🌤🌧⚡️🌊

Well we are close geographically so I suppose it's quite natural that our unpredictable climates are the source of much conversation!
