Personality:

Loyal/Dependable:
- One of the most dependable dogs one could meet, he'll do nothing to betray any trust that has been invested in him. He prides himself in his ability to get things done, regardless of what he has to go through to do so.

Intelligent:
-Due to his training and experience, Bugle is good at thinking on his paws and can come up with well thought out strategies given little time. He's also not afraid to take calculated risks, but will be the only one taking said risks. He's not willing to put any other officer’s in danger.

Outgoing/Playful:
-Despite all he's gone through, he's very loud and very friendly and loves any chance to make new lasting relationships. Can be pretty talkative if encouraged, so if you like hearing crazy stories but don't like to say much, he doesn't mind. He'll talk ears off if you let him. His laugh can be pretty contagious as well. All work and no play makes for a really dull dog.

Charming/Polite:
-Always ready with a compliment, he's rarely rude. Its not that he's a suck up, he just believes in complimenting what he finds appealing. And who doesn't like their ego stroked? The closest thing to rude for him is his sarcasm, and that's only when he's agitated.

Competitive:
-Loves a good competition, whether it be a competition of wits or strength. With speed, he'll just throw in the towel, he knows he's no Speedy Gonzales.

Self Doubt:
- Even with his happy, go-lucky attitude, he's often plagued by feelings of inadequacy due to his past. He wonders why he didn't smell the bomb that cost him half his hearing and his close squadmate, and what he’d done to lose both his wife and son in one foul sweep. This self doubt is never really apparent as long as he is active and doing something that doesn't really require him to sit and think. Its most obvious during his fitful periods of interrupted sleep.

One Track Minded:
- Once given a job, nothing else matters until the job is done, this is both a good and bad thing. The good thing is, the job will get done, the bad thing is any other jobs he was supposed to complete will fall on the back burner. Multi-tasking and Bugle don't go well together.

History: Bugle’s history isn’t the best, but one could hardly tell due to his almost ever present vivacious personality. He went into training for the police forces as soon as he graduated high school, having a strong interest in bomb disposal and civilian’s public safety. The job was a perfect fit for him and he found himself excelling much faster than he ever expected. Such success, of course, went to his head and he became rather cocky and lax when it came to his duties. This would cost him dearly.

During a routine job, a bomb went off unexpectedly, catching Bugle and his partner at the time in the blast. He had to be hospitalized, entire right side of his body embedded with all manner of debris and chemicals, and a back leg was broken. The sound of the blast itself also caused him to lose all hearing in his right ear. Unfortunately, his partner wasn't so lucky. Having been the one to trip the bomb, he was killed in the blast. Bugle was devastated and considered himself responsible for his partners death, feeling that if he had been more cautious, more aware of his surroundings, he might have detected the bomb sooner.

It was after this instance that he met and married his wife at the age of 25, and three years later , they were expecting their first child. Both parents were excited by the news and were quick to prepare for their son’s arrival. Needless to say, Bugle was surprised to get a call from one of his fellow officers, telling him that both his wife and the unborn pup had been killed in an encounter with a drunk driver, the woman have been hit by the driver’s car as it took a turn too fast. Understandably, this broke him for the longest time and he refrained from forming any semblance of relationships with others, keeping to himself and never saying a word as he grieved. If it hadn’t been for a few persistent friends, he most likely would have taken his own life, but with time (over 10 years) he was able to come to terms with what had happened and stopped blaming himself for something he had no way of stopping. But staying where he was much too full of painful memories. So he requested to be transferred to Kitty Katty Town, where he’d heard that their police force was in need of Commander’s for their Privates. He’s currently worked at the police station for the past five or so years, loving every minute of his job. For the most part, he genuinely happy, but is still on the search to find something that will fill the void his wife and son left behind.
