Personality:
Puckett isn’t very pleasant. He’s grouchy, stubborn, and, apparently, always angry with a healthy dosage of “IDGAF ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS” type of sass. Years of dealing with punk kids with 0 respect for anything or anyone has left him VERY short on patience. It doesn’t take much to send him into a rage fueled fester pit that used to result in the damage and/or complete destruction of factory property (that was promptly be paid for). He has, THANKFULLY, learned to better control physical manifestations of his temper. He has not and never will hit one of his fellow workers with the intent of actually hurting them when they peeved him off. But he can hold one heck of a grudge. For those who manage to get past his anger issues, he can become quite protective and almost loving in his own way, but will forever deny that he actually cares. He’s very prideful and confident with his abilities, attributing his skills to his time spent in the military. Puckett is willing to teach those that are willing to listen. Being one of the older workers at the factory, he has a lot of life lessons to share...though more often than not, people tend to find his mechanical arm more interesting than anything he has to say. Or just chalk him off as a bossy old guy.

History:
Prior to being employed at the Sweet Factory, Puckett lived on a different planet with his mother and father. They had moved from Alloehera shortly after his birth, his father having come upon a fortune and deciding his small family could have a better life elsewhere. Aside from being a bit of an oddball among the mostly dairy based planet’s inhabitants, the young lad an average childhood. His parents didn’t really push him to hard in school as he already possessed the drive to do the best for himself naturally. When he graduated high school, he informed his parents that he was going to join the military. When asked why, he simply stated that “It would be cool”. In other words, he simply joined on a whim, thinking rising in the ranks would be nothing but a fun adventure. There was really nothing patriotic or noble about his choice.

Regardless of his reasons, he began his training and soon enough became a part of the military. Oh, how he basked in the attention he received from all sorts of people, pulling him into a state of mind where he felt like he was unstoppable! however, that all changed on his first day of actual combat. He was too cocky for his own good, moving too far from his company and found himself captured. For days he was tortured for information that he simply did not have, experiencing horrors that he relives even to this very day. Eventually, he was rescued, malnourished, disoriented, and missing his entire left arm. But he was alive.

Recovery was long and hard for him, but it gave the young man a lot of time to think. Being a member of the military wasn’t something that he should have treated as a way to make him seem ‘cooler, to make him seem like the best’. In fact, it really wasn’t about him at all. The purpose behind all of his training was to equip him to protect the rights and lives of others, and he’s basically had gotten himself into this mess because he was too selfish to realize that fact. Seeing the error of his ways, he began a personal reform in himself. With time and many a struggle, he was able to combat the trauma he’d received during his time MIA, both in physical and emotional aspects. He was equipped with a mechanical arm to replace the one that had been taken from him, and was soon back in the field to serve as a proper soldier.

Puckett made a career out of the military, having grown a true passion for it after his ordeal. He still struggled from time to time with vivid flashbacks, but possessed a strong support system to make the aftermath far more bearable. After serving in the field for a good 15 years, he switched to training new recruits for the remainder of his time in service, wanting to ensure that the armed forces were producing the BEST of the BEST.

He chose to retire from the service when his father passed away to take care of his mother, using the money left behind to move them both back to Alloehera. His mother had always expressed a desire to one day return to her home planet and Puckett was quite interested in seeing the place of his origins as well as more candy folk like himself. At his mother’s suggestion, he applied for work at the Sweet Factory as a Cage Candy, and after two years of working there...he’s still not entirely sure what he’s gotten himself into.

Abilities

Powers: Body Density Manipulation
He can gather the sour coating of his skin into different areas of his body, making it as solid as a rock increasing his attack and defensive abilites. The shift of the particles is visible and leaves the rest of his body significantly more susceptible to damage.

physically strong and imposing

dulled hearing with slight ringing from his time in the service
