Whiskers twitching and fur bristling with pride, Dawncloud took a step forward after he had accepted this new duty, ready to touch noses with the gray tom. Rushing forward, the bob tailed apprentice's eyes shone with eagerness, his ears perked as he bumped his nose with Dawncloud's, twisting the ginger and white tom's features into an expression that was never there, a smile of affection crossing his face for a fleeting moment before he raised his head to continue with the ceremony.
