There are wolves in the territory, but apprentices must still commence their training.

Fallowheart had been working hard with Shadepaw since noonhigh. They were just finishing up after working on some new offensive blows. Fallowheart wished she had more time to teach Shadepaw, but they were called to patrol. Well, Fallowheart was to patrol, but she knew her apprentice would beg to tag along as well.

Fallowheart was not looking forward to today's patrol, not after Cursedstar's speech about the wolves. They were bigger and more aggressive then any fox. The thought left her shuddering.

Fallowheart's mind had wandered. Her mind refocused itself as Shadepaw tackled her. Fallowheart let out a slight gasp and collapsed to the ground under her apprentice's weight.

"Fallowheat! Are you even listening to me?" Shadepaw exclaimed with a slight whine in her voice.

"Huh?" Fallowheart was working to recollect her thoughts.

Shadepaw moved off her mentor, and shook her fur out for the flakes of snow that had attached itself there. "You said we were heading back to camp, so let's hurry and go"

Hearing the impatience in Shadepaw's voice, Fallowheart let out a chuckle and rose off the ground. "Oh, I thought we were waiting for you." She teased.

Shadepaw let out a groan, but said nothing as she dashed on ahead. Fallowheart chuckled again, but she couldn't deny the dread she felt in her stomach.
