In the first couple of seasons she was known as Layla. That was the name given to her by the creator, Iginio Straffi, of Winx Club. However, I believe it is Nickelodeon who got the rights to continue the Winx Club franchise and so now it's different. Nickelodeon wanted to change Winx Club to take it to another level and so they changed names (i.e. Layla to Aisha), voices (i.e. Tecna), CGI (Season 5) and much more. It's all because of rights and now we have to live with the changes. I myself have added all 4 seasons to my laptop because I believe that in a couple of years, the first 2 original seasons will no longer be available, except maybe on Youtube or such.

Apparently, her name was always Aisha (Remember, the show was made by an Italian I believe). In the translated version (English) it was Layla. Since Nickelodeon had all rights to the show, they decided to change her name back to Aisha.
