Description
A short illustrated tutorial to Kawasaki rose. I made it long ago for my friends.The four shots on the top show the folding in progress.
Then shots on the left show the upper side of paper, while the shots on the right show the bottom side of it.
Search on youtube for videos.

My hint is - pinch the diagonal mountain folds and fold them to the valley folds on the right. It's so easy when done once...

I've attempted this rose so many times, it's frustrating! I've tried everything; tutorials, videos, diagrams. I can't get anywhere past the third step *fail*.

Ah, I'm sorry to bother you, but I'm not sure how to get from the third step to the fourth. I tried watching the videos too, but I'm still stuck. D: I'm just not sure how to fold it so I get that little square at the end.

You should raise the diagonal creases and form the square in the middle.
Then wrap the diagonals in counterclockwise manner, using the parallel valley folds below diagonals.
These two actions will form the model shown on the fourth shot.
Is it too complicated?

Oh god.... It took me 3-4 youtube videos, 6 hours, and your tutorial to get it done... And it still looks like a messy little mass of paper. I really hope I improve after 5th...

the piece itself is full of straight lines and it is complimented so well by the floor which is also sleek and has straight lines
