And a last sketch in this nostalgic series of drawings and doodles that were supposed to flesh out this postapocalyptic universe and stories that I never got around to doing
As you can probably tell, this was a zombie apocalypse inspired by pretty much every zombie portrayal except the full on voodo supernatural ones. There are so many mixed traits but the genral Picture is that these are zombies caused by a virus, that has been manufactured and used as a weapon and the virus itself also kills you and reanimates you, but I remember that was planning on having two strains: The airborne one which caused everybody who dies to reanimate and the bite transmitted one. Plus there are soma basic traits like hunger for flesh, animals can't get infected, zombies are faster (not full on sprinting zombies) at first but after time will get weaker and slower. They can't die of hunger and can survive under water and can be killed only by destroying the brain and are not inteligent. And the game is on, this time in correct order
I do like the Headless clown more and I agree it is a bit more fitting for the tagword "dark" especially because it has been drawn on a black paper, I am glad that you chose one of these sketches. Even though I submitted them only due to this whole emergency situation which prevents me from continuing work on other Works they are still a very nostalgic to me and I appreciate every bit of feedback on them. Funny enough, they were made ten years ago,so even though they are one of the latest submitted to my gallery, they are one of my oldest Works
It is good to hear that the extra research to the human brain physiology has paid off, I actually did not have a computer at the time I was drawing them and so I had to use the depictions from a human body encyclopedia, strangely the background research for my drawings used to take much more actuall work with books to get the proper understanding of the story behind the drawing. Fun fact: the vehicles and most of the characters in these sketches come from various sport and fashion magazines. Oh the times when I did not get my reference pictures from the internet, such a simple time it was
I agree that the corpse being devoured is at most very basic and if I remember correctly it was drawn the last because I see that I used a diferent pen. Also, there should be arms there somewhere but it just all got mixed with the blood and the neck was added because I could not be bothered with adding a head and I just justified it in my mind probably by thinking that zombies would first tear off the head to feast on the brain and soft tisue and then continue with the body.
